I can’t believe it’s already here. I just got back from my Nigerian-Eritrean Wedding, and the Christian Wedding is just hours away. Time for me to say goodbye to blogging for a while. It’s been a while since I’ve felt like I’m in a dream, and the last 48 hours qualify. I’m getting married? That doesn’t even compute right now!

I’ve enjoyed putting my thoughts into words, and I think it’s a great way to show my growth over time. I often cringe at things I’d written in the past, mostly because I’m an evolving person and I tend to allow myself to consider new ideas and information. Who knows if I’d cringe again in a year or two. This blog will help me determine that.

I grossly overestimated the amount of free-time I’d have this month, especially in the last two weeks, and I found I just didn’t have time to blog, or read news, or drool over the next Apple product. Going forward, I’ll be taking about a month hiatus, so I can give my soon-to-be wife all my attention.

Today I tie the knot, and I couldn’t be more excited. It was a crazy day though, from the brand new Nissan Leaf I got my fiancee deciding to have a “T/M system malfunction contact dealer” and us almost having to be towed to the dealership, to rain surprising me as I left my place to the venue, to all the fun stuff that goes along with Naija weddings. Seriously, that car has less than 3500 miles on it, is treated like a baby, and then chooses to have a system failure on the day I’m running errands to for my wedding part one. My lady and I just laughed it off though. It was a memorable day, but at the same time everything happened so fast it’s kind of a blur. I usually like to take time to process everything that happens, but there’s not even time for that. It’s time for me to collapse into bed and get some much needed rest.

There’s a lot going on in the world right now both really good and really bad that I only know about because of my push notifications from CNN. I think by the time things settle down to my normal routine, everything I read about in the news will be a surprise.

For the time being though, my resources will be diverted completely away from blogging, work, news, and world affairs. I’m going to enjoy September despite the world situation. Peace till October.
